Market Leader (3rd Edition) Extra - the new "Extra" materials are business skills lessons that have been added to the course books after every 3rd unit and tie in with the topics from the preceding units. They cover skills such as presentations, emailing, meetings and negotiations.

The pagination of the books remains the same as the original 3rd Edition version so the teachers books will still work with them, however new teachers notes, videos and worksheets are available on the teachers resources section of the Market Leader website (http://product.pearsonelt.com/marketleader/).

Market Leader 3rd Edition Extra is a five-level English course for students who want to learn English and learn about business, and for business people who want to advance their careers.

It has been developed in association with the Financial Times, one of the leading sources of business information in the world. Financial Times material introduces students to topical business issues and builds the professional language and communication skills required for the modern world of business.

• A five-level course for young adults and adult professionals
• Contemporary material with Financial Times content in every unit
• Takes students from CEFR A1 to C2

WHAT'S NEW?
Market Leader Extra with business skills lessons and self-assessment
Extra builds on Market Leader 3rd Edition by providing new Business Skills lessons that offer the learner a task-based, integrated skills approach to the development of core business skills such as Presentations, Negotiations, Meetings and Small Talk.

These lessons appear at the end of every three units and incorporate performance review, suggestions for professional development and goal setting. They are based on the Global Scale of English Learning Objectives for Professional English. These objectives are signposted at the top of each new lesson in the Student's Book and the carefully scaffolded activities are crafted around each objective, creating a clear sense of direction and progression in a learning environment where learners can reflect on their achievement at the end of the lesson.
