So the witch gave the little mermaid a magic drink, and cut off her tongue. The little mermaid swam up by the Prince's palace and drank the drink. The Prince liked this strange girl and she went everywhere with him. But the Prince only loved one girl - the girl who saved him from the stormy sea. The little mermaid wanted to say, 'That girl was me.' But she had no voice. When the Prince found that girl, the little mermaid's heart broke.
