Pair Work One consists of two books, one for Student and one for Student B. It is aimed at pre-intermediate students of English as a Foreign Language. As the title implies, the two books should be used together, as each forms one part of various activities done by the two students. There are thirty-one units which can be followed in the order they are written, though this is not strictly necessary. The two books are a further extension of Peter Watcyn-Jones's Functional English series (for Penguin Books); they can, however, be used with any course.
